Tory Frizzell is an Engineering Science Master’s Candidate at Simon Fraser University in the NeuroTech Lab. She holds a B.ENG in Biomedical Engineering from the University of Guelph.
Her interests lie in multidisciplinary research joining the practical and applied realms of engineering with the clinical uses and underlying principles of neuroscience to design solutions related to neurological dysfunction.
Her current research focuses on optimizing high field magnetic resonance imaging capabilities for the detection of functional activity in white matter brain tissue. She is the recipient of several awards such as the NSERC Industrial Research Award and the Leacross Foundation Endowment for Women in Biomedical Engineering.
